Why does my Alkalini-C have brown specks in it?

Our Alkaline for Life vitamin C  is a very potent, active ascorbate (the form of vitamin C the body uses).  If by accident the cap is not tightly closed or if any moisture is introduced, some of this ascorbate powder will develop brown specs. This is a sign that some of the vitamin C has been oxidized. This is safe to use, but less potent.  One wants to avoid this from happening as much as possible, so please close a bottle tightly and never introduce a wet spoon or any moisture into the bottle. We also recommend storing the Alkalini-C in a cool, dry place.
